Italia 2018 - The Great War: a great philatelic experience
1. Organization, date, venue and sebsite
1.1. The philatelic exhibition
Italia 2018 - The Great War is a specialized national exhibition with international participation, organized by the Federazione fra le Società Filateliche Italiane (Fsfi) under the recognition of the Federation of the European Philatelic Associations (Fepa)
1.2. The exhibition has been granted the patronage of the European Academy of Philately (Aep).
1.3. Italia 2018 will take place from 23 to 25 November 2018, within the framework of the 131st Veronafil. Its venue is Hall 9 at the Veronafiere exhibition center in Verona.
1.4. The overall organization is taken care of by an Organization Committee (OC) appointed by the Fsfi, in cooperation with the Associazione Filatelica Numismatica Scaligera..
1.5. This exhibition is organized concurrently with the Italia 2018 - Philatelic Literature Exhibition a specialized national exhibition with international participation. This event, originally planned in March 2018 in Milan, is governed by a separate IREX.

2.6. These Regulations (Irex) for Italia 2018 - The Great War International Philatelic Exhibition.
3. Conditions for participation
3.1. The exhibition concerns only exhibits that treat aspects of the Great War its direct/immediate causes and consequences.
3.2. Participation is open to all collectors who are members of societies affiliated to member federations of continental federations.
3.3. Exhibits participating in the competitive classes must have obtained a minimum of 75 points at an exhibition of national level.
3.4. Entrants may request 1 frame or from 5 to 10 frames at
their leisure, irrespective of the previous awards received by the exhibit.
The area available inside the frame is 1 m x 1 m. However, the frame
reference capacity is 16 sheets format A4 for OF exhibits, and 12 sheets
format A4 for 5 to 10 frame exhibits.
3.5. Entrants may submit more than one entry.
4. Exhibition classes

It includes exhibits invited by the OC.

5. Applications, entry fees and submission of entries
5.1. Italia 2018 - The Great War exhibition is governed by an on line management system; hence applications shall be made only through the exhibition website
5.2. National Federations are invited to appoint a contact person who will advertise the exhibition, identify prospect exhibitors and support them for entering the application. Said person shall check the qualification of the entry as per Art. 3.2 above.
5.3. Application can be submitted until 9 September 2018 at the
latest. Notification of application acceptance or non‐acceptance by the O.C.
will be sent to the exhibitor by 15 September 2018 at the latest, with copy
to the contact person of the relevant federation.
5.4. After the acceptance the exhibitor will be asked to pay the
participation fee (40 Euros per frame, not refundable) via PayPal, following
the instructions provided on the screen. This step has to be performed at
latest by 30 September 2018 at latest and it is mandatory for completing the
6. Delivery and Return of Exhibits
6.1. Before sending the entry, the exhibitor shall duly enter the Inventory list at the Italia 2018 website. Its address will made available in the acceptance letter. Exhibitors should take care of arranging the pages of each frame in envelopes of their choice.
6.2. Exhibits carried either by a national representative or personally must be delivered to the O.C. by 21 November 2018 at latest. They will be returned to the same carrier or to his/her delegate duly authorized after the exhibition has closed.
6.3. Exhibits from the custom free European area sent by postal or courier services available to carry valuable items must reach the O.C. by 20 November 2018 at latest. The delivery address is:

6.4. The O.C. shall provide custom information for those exhibits arriving from outside the custom free European area.
7. Judging and Awards
7.1. The Jury will be chosen by the Board of the Fsfi. The Fepa president or his delegate will serve as Jury member.
7.2. In consideration of the time needed for an appropriate evaluation, the judging activities shall start in advance. Exhibitors must load a pdf file of the whole exhibit by 15
October 2018. Failure to meet this requirement shall result into excluding the entry from competition, without refund of the frame fee.
7.3. The OC shall then distribute the entries among the jurors for a preliminary assessment; however, the final evaluation shall take place in front of the frames.
7.4. Awards will be presented in the form of digital diplomas.
7.5. The only awards presented at the exhibition will be the Grand Prix Italia 2018 (best in show) and the Best in Class prizes.
8. Insurance, Security and Liability
8.1. The O.C. will take reasonable precautions to ensure the security and safety of all exhibits while in their possession.
8.2. Exhibitors are advised that they must secure appropriate insurance for their exhibits at their expenses. The O.C. is not responsible for such insurance. The O.C. will not be liable for any loss or damage of any exhibit, in whole or in part, howsoever caused.
8.3. The Fepa, the Fsfi, the Aep, the O.C, the Jury, their paid and unpaid volunteers and employees, accept no liability for any loss or injury suffered by the public and exhibitors arising directly or indirectly from any cause whatsoever as a result of entering this competition.
9. Final provisions
9.1. The decisions of the OC as well as the evaluation of the Jury are final.
9.2. Whenever there are cases that cannot be decided upon with the aid of these regulations, the O.C. will make a decision together with the Fepa president or his delegate.
9.3. Communications with the exhibitors shall be only through the exhibition website or direct e-mail, depending on the matter treated.
9.4. By entering the application form, the exhibitor confirms the truthfulness of data provided and declares to know and to accept the regulations above quoted under Art. 2.1 and in particular these Irex.
9.5. Data provided by the exhibitor will be used for the purpose of organizing and judging the exhibit and may be stored and transmitted electronically, as well as in paper form. Submitting an application signifies the exhibitor’s assent to this statement.
9.6. Exhibitors’ personal data shall be treated according to the Italian law concerning use of personal data. Responsible for their treatment is the Fsfi President.
9.7. The pdf files supplied as per Art. 7.2 will be published in the exhibition website unless the exhibitor asks the O.C. to delete such file.
9.8. The court of jurisdiction is Rimini, location of the Fsfi headquarters.
